Reel Talk:
Content Creation Workshop
No fluff, no faffing, no dancing (unless you want to 😜)
Join Helen and Caroline on Friday October 23rd for a practical, hands-on workshop creating reels, hooks and captions that you’ll actually use.
If reels have been sitting on your to-do list for months...
This is the day you'll finally
get them done!
Spend a full day with us in Birmingham and leave with a bank of video content ready to post, plus the skills and templates to keep it going long after the day ends.
This isn't about chasing whatever's trending this week.
It's a no BS, real talk about reels: what actually works, why and how to make it fit your business.
No dance routines, no jumping on trends that don't suit you and no spending hours filming content only to leave it gathering dust in your drafts!
Just a straightforward, honest (but fun!) look at how to show up on video as yourself and turn that into content that gets results.
How the day works:
You'll spend the morning with Caroline planning and filming your reels, then the afternoon with Helen turning that footage into scheduled, ready-to-go posts complete with captions.
By 5pm, your content is done, not just planned.
Then stay on for a drink and a proper celebration of what you've made.

Why reels?
Reels aren't just another content format. They're how Instagram gets your business in front of people who've never heard of you.
Unlike a photo or carousel, which mostly reaches your existing followers, reels are built for discovery. A solid chunk of the views on any reel come from people who don't yet follow you.
If growing your reach and bringing in new leads is the goal, reels are doing more of that heavy lifting than anything else on the platform right now.
This day will give you the time, ideas, and confidence to make them consistently.
What you'll walk away with
- Time saved: a month (or more) of content, created and scheduled in a single day.
- A repeatable system: you'll leave knowing how to plan, film, caption, and schedule reels yourself.
- Content that works hard for your business: reels planned around real prompts with captions written to prompt action.
- A sense of momentum: consistency is what makes reels pay off over time, and this day is what gets you into a new rhythm of posting.
Quick Questions, Reel Answers:
Can I use this content for TikTok or Facebook too?
Is there anywhere to stay nearby?
What if I need to cancel?
I'm not really active on Instagram yet, is that a problem?
Do I need to bring anything?
What are you filming with, do I need my own equipment?
What's the food situation?
Meet your hosts:
Helen — Captions & Scheduling
Helen is the founder of Blue Palm Marketing, a done-for-you marketing agency, and Lighthouse Marketing Club, a membership community supporting solo business owners. She works hands-on with coaches, tutors, financial planners, and creative professionals to build marketing systems that actually work with clear plans and practical results.
Helen believes good marketing should feel authentic, not salesy. This is the thread running through everything she creates, including the captions and scheduling systems she'll be teaching on the day. She regularly runs CEO Days and strategy sessions to help business owners get focused, and hosts a podcast, Marketing Systems for Success, sharing straightforward advice for growing a business without losing yourself in the process.
Caroline — Reels Planning & Filming
Caroline will be the first to tell you that reels didn't come naturally to her. Her first attempts were awkward as she stumbled over her words, said "um" more times than she'd like to admit, and felt self-conscious every time she hit record.
But she kept going. She posted an awkward reel, nothing bad happened, so she did it again the next week, and the week after. Along the way she realised something that changed everything: awkwardness isn't a sign you're not ready, it's just the feeling of doing something unfamiliar. And a good reel isn't about natural on-camera confidence at all, it's a formula. Hook, structure, purposeful copy. Once you can see the formula, you can't unsee it, and it becomes completely repeatable.
That's exactly why she's running the filming half of this day — to hand you the shortcut she didn't have. What actually matters, how to get past the awkwardness, and how to make reels work for your business.
